(Shelbyville, TN, 8/1/2011) ? Two of Shelbyville´s oldest real estate companies have announced that they are getting back together.
Wayne Neese Realty and Auction Company and Coldwell Banker Segroves Nelson Real Estate are joining forces. The new company will be located at Neese´s existing location at 1708 N. Main. It will be known as Coldwell Banker Segroves-Neese Real Estate.
"The getting back together part may throw people," said Harold Segroves, the principle broker of the new firm. "It goes way back to 1948. That was when my Dad got in the Real Estate business. Shortly after that a young man from Lynchburg joined the firm ? Bill Daniel. Later on G.S. Gordon came along and Segroves-Daniel-Gordon was a successful partnership for more than 16 years."
"In 1993 I became partners with Bill Daniel," said Wayne Neese, partner in the new firm. "I had the privilege of working with him for many years much like Harold did with Mr. Tom. During those years Harold and I often exchanged information with each other. We have the same phone system, voice mail, phone service provider, and many other things like that because of our cooperation. Our cultures are so much alike, I´m not surprised that this merger has seemed so easy."
Together the new company will have more than 16 agents and over 125 properties. It will offer the same professional service that have long defined both companies and will be in a better position to serve this community as the real estate industry continues to change and evolve. Segroves and Neese have also made a commitment to grow the Auction side of their business. "Auctions have always been a value for me," said Neese. "Together I think we can take a leadership role in bringing the best Auction service to Shelbyville and Middle Tennessee."
